Usha graduated from dental school in India in 2010 and subsequently gained valuable clinical experience working with Bupa and several practices across Edinburgh. In 2024, she took over The Family Dental Practice in Gorebridge. She leads both the practices with a patient-centred approach. Usha has a passion for all aspects of dentistry, with particular interests in Invisalign, composite bonding and smile makeovers, and she is especially skilled at supporting patients with dental anxiety. Outside of her professional life, Usha enjoys travelling, cooking and cherishing time with her family.
Dr Abraham McCarthy

Aneesa is a GDC-registered Dental Therapist who originally qualified as a dentist in Pakistan in 2021. She later moved to the UK to begin her career as a Dental Therapist, bringing a strong clinical foundation and a genuine passion for patient care. Aneesa has a particular interest in hygiene and preventive dentistry, helping patients maintain healthy, confident smiles through gentle care and personalised advice. She provides treatments including scaling and polishing, gum disease treatment, teeth whitening, children’s dentistry, and oral health education to support long-term dental wellbeing. She is known for her calm, friendly approach and for creating a comfortable experience for every patient. .

Mandy started her career as a Dental Nurse in 1990. Gaining her qualification in 2006. Throughout her years she has a strong passion for guiding trainee nurses in their journey in becoming the best they can. She loves her job and the most important part for her is patient care making each feel reassured and comfortable. She gained her certificate in implant nursing and is very keen to further and develop in this field. Outside work Mandy is very family orientated and likes nothing better than being with them and making happy memories together. Her most favourite thing is shopping. Even window shopping!

With over 35 years of experience in dentistry, Marie brings a wealth of knowledge to our practice. She began her career as a Dental Nurse before progressing into reception and practice management, developing a comprehensive understanding of both patient care and operations. Marie is dedicated to ensuring the smooth running of the practice and is always on hand to assist patients with a warm and welcoming manner. Outside of work, she enjoys quality time with her family, shopping and relaxing at her “wee” caravan.

Lauren has been a receptionist at Duddingston Park for five years. She prides herself on being a warm and welcoming first point of contact. As a mother of two, she brings a natural maternal instinct to her role, ensuring every child feels safe, comfortable, and happy during their visit, while also helping adults feel equally at ease. She is passionate about delivering excellent customer service so every patient feels valued and cared for. Lauren looks forward to welcoming patients to the practice and making each visit as pleasant as possible.

She is passionate about creating a welcoming environment for patients and supporting the team to ensure the practice runs smoothly each day.
